After three years of hard work, The Sweetshop is proud to be officially certified as a B Corp in 2025.
For us, becoming a B Corp is about protecting the soul of The Sweetshop. When we started out, our dream was to build a home for creativity and integrity, but over the years, we learned that good intentions aren’t enough; real change takes accountability. The B Corp framework gives us that structure, holding us to our values and reminding us that creativity, commerce, and conscience can thrive together.
It hasn’t been easy. Every corner of our business has been measured and challenged, from sustainability to diversity, philanthropy to career pathways. Along the way we’ve built frameworks and policies to keep us accountable and to keep raising the bar.
But for us, certification isn’t about perfection. As our CEO Melanie Bridge says, “B Corp isn’t about being perfect; it’s about embracing progress.” It’s a commitment to keep improving, to care for our people, communities, and planet, and to use our place in this industry to inspire change. We know the work is ongoing, and that’s exactly the point.
We’re humbled to now stand among businesses worldwide that are leading the charge towards a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. Our hope is to walk the talk, set an example, and spark ripples of impact along the way.
