Jean-Paul Frenay is a Belgian film director, visual artist, and co-founder of the production company Black Lodge. Always on the move, Jean-Paul is dedicated to redefining visual storytelling. Jean-Paul's personal projects, like the animated short film "Artificial Paradise, Inc." and music videos for Son Lux, have earned critical acclaim and international festival showcases. His standout project, "You Are the Canvas", created for the OFFF Festival, was a finalist at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival for Excellence in Title Design, captivating audiences with its introspective take on society.
While still active in advertising, Jean-Paul is now expanding his storytelling to longer formats, focusing on feature films and episodic projects. When he's not working, you’ll find him on a motorbike road trip or rocking out with his band, I, The Phoenix.
