ATAKA 51

Ataka51 are a displaced creative collective originally from Moscow, now based in Paris. Their work reflects the rich cinematic, artistic history and contemporary strife and uncertainty of their homeland. They carve beauty from dystopian imagery, exploring the space between truth and fiction, blurring the line between the two through experimentation in form and visual effects.

The collective first began working together at film school and it was there they began their experimental, self-made approach to VFX and use of modern technologies to create new styles of storytelling. Inspired by groundbreaking filmmakers Chris Cunningham, Jonathan Glazer and Stanley Kubrick, their work explores universal human themes through non-traditional, contemporary approaches to filmmaking.
