About

As a teenager growing up in Northern Italy, Stella picked up a camera aged fourteen as an excuse to skip Ancient Greek class and portray her restless friends and their journey into finding their adult self. A couple of years later, with this collection of images, Stella held her first solo exhibition.

Photography served as Stella’s introduction to filmmaking, enabling her to dive deeper into the very themes and ideas that had shaped her upbringing. Now splitting her time between NYC and London, Stella's projects boldly challenge societal norms and conventions, celebrating human connection and intimacy. She's a champion of unfiltered humanity, in all its tumultuous and delicate aspects.

Stella's directorial journey has graced the realms of renowned fashion houses and brands. From Gucci and Burberry to Prada, Armani, Nike, Adidas, Sony Music, Atlantic Records, and Google – along with editorial pieces for esteemed publications like i-D, Dazed & Confused, Nowness, Vogue Italia and British Vogue. Her work has earned semifinalist, top 10 and shortlist positions at prestigious events like Cannes Indie Shorts Awards, Berlin Commercial and Berlin Fashion Film Festival, 1.4 Festival and Milano Fashion Film Festival.

Recently her narrative short film 'Dear Dad' found its premiere at the iconic Angelika Film Center in NYC, adding another milestone to her impressive journey.
